Opening Narrative

This program today is a replay of the show series on the Book of Revelation. As mentioned then the Lord gave me a vision some months ago of a chart outlining the events of the book of Revelation, which I produced along with a 100-page e-book on the end-time events. A lot of people are asking “where are we in the events of the end times?” This is a summary of that and interesting excerpts from the book of Revelation.

Narrative #1

Yes, as I said earlier , a lot of people are asking the question, “Where are we in the events of the end times?” and also, “Are we now in the Tribulation?”

These questions are usually accompanied by worries of things happening around us totay like we've never seen before, genuine interest or worrisome and alarming mentions of future things to take place from the book of Revelation.

When the covid calamity came on the world scene many people wondered if the subsequent
vaccine enforcement was the “mark of the beast”, as well as other similar restrictions and mandates that were imposed upon the people.

Well, let me put you at ease for now, no, this was/is not the mark of the beast...

While no one knows where exactly we are within the time span of the end times, we do know, according to the reading of the Word of God, that we have not yet come into the last seven years of the prophesied tribulation. The antichrist has not been declared yet. We will see that in the following developing accounts of the reading of this Revelation of Jesus Christ.

How far away are we to that time, we don't know exactly. But we do know it will be on the heels of the Rapture which is the next big event to take place; then the 7-years Tribulation will begin with the first 3-1/2 yrs wherein the antichrist comes deceiving the world as a man of peace, then the last 3-1/2 years when he declares himself to be God right in the middle of the 7-years Tribulation. So the question right now really is, “When will the rapture take place.”

So let's take a look at that for a moment:

There is an argument among people, and the church (the born-again believers) about the timing of the Rapture. Some say it will take place before the 7-years Tribulation, others say it will be in the middle of it, and others say it will be after the tribulation...

Most people have heard the common responses to this. But the church will be taken out before the 7-years Tribulation because this time of Tribulation is God's dealing with Israel -- Daniel's 70th week and Jacob's trouble. This time is not for the church.

It is generally understood and believed by believers that the Church will be taken up at chapter 4 of the book of Revelation when we are given the first glance of the throne of God in heaven. And I show that in the outline chart the Lord gave me which is included in the e-book.

By the way, “the church” does not mean any denominational group – it means 'the believers' those who have put their trust in the Saviour Jesus Christ prior to the rapture.

This time of Tribulation immediately following the rapture will begin as a pseudo world peace in the first 3-1/2 years, building up with the troubles seen by John in chapter 6, right up until the antichrist declares himself to be God in the middle of the 7-years Tribulation, at the opening of the long-awaited 3rd Jewish Temple. That is what is called “The Abomination of Desolation” that we looked at just a moment ago. We read about that in Matthew 24:15, Daniel 9:23, 27, 11:36, 2Thessalonians 2:4).

So this “Abomination of Desolation” is this that will awaken the Jewish people especially who will remember what they read in their own Hebrew Bible spoken of by their own prophets.

Many at that time will flee into the wilderness where God will feed them for 3-1/2 years. We read that in the book of Revelation, chapter 12 and verse 14).

Interestingly, a lot of people also wonder who this “Abomination of Desolation” performer is going to be... he is that one called the antichrist who will come and declare himself to be God. And of course that's when the Jews will realize that they have been deceived – why? Because Jewish belief is that the awaited Messiah is going to be a human politician extraordinaire – not God.

In the e-book, I go into an interesting analysis of who the Jews may be thinking this antichrist might be – some say he will be Jewish, some say he will be Moslem, some say European. Of course no one knows, but I follow an interesting theory that is worth the thought that the antichrist might indeed be Jewish because the time-line of all these last days is about the dealing with the Jewish people and Jews will not follow any-one who is not of their own.

But, whatever this will be, from that point on, in the middle of the 7-years tribulation, everything falls to pieces and the wrath of God begins to increase and intensify like it has never been seen before, starting with chapter 7, up to chapter 19...

Narrative #2

The second or last 3-1/2 years

In chapter 7, verse 9, we are told about the sealing by God of the 144,000 of the Tribes of Israel, who are sent to replace the Church who was taken up in the Rapture in chapter 4. These 144,000 Jewish believers are sent to preach the Gospel. The result of this is told in verses 9 to 17.

For those who think the Rapture will take place at the midpoint into the 7-years Tribulation, or later, that cannot be, because the 144,000 are sent to preach to the Jews first, as well as all the rest of the nations, and not to the saints of 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; these latter people are up in heaven during the whole of the 7-years Tribulation as the bride of the groom who were called up at the beginning of the 7-years Tribulation, and who will return with Christ at His second coming at the return of Christ to this earth in the end. (More on that later.)

It is in this second half of the 7-years Tribulation that Israel will go through its worst time of suffering, known as Jacob’s Trouble (Jeremiah 30:7, Daniel 12:1, Matthew 24:21). And the whole earth will go through it also.

For those who don't know, the word “week” in the Hebrew (heptad) refers to “a week of 7 years”. It's like our word “a decade” which refers to ten years.

After the preaching of the 144,000, God’s wrath will begin to be poured out in abundance. First, it will be poured out of the Trumpet Judgments, followed by the Bowl Judgments (Revelation 8:6-13; Rev. 9, 10 and 11). During that time the two Witnesses will testify also (Revelation 11:3-12). The Seals will have already been delivered as we will see later.

The Second coming of Jesus Christ
At the end of Daniel’s 70th Week (the 7-years Tribulation), Yeshua (Christ) will return (the Second Coming) followed by the saints who were raptured 7 years earlier. At this time, Yeshua will destroy the enemies of Israel, and all the Jewish people who are still alive then will be saved when they look upon Him Who was pierced. (Zechariah 12:10).

Then, according to Daniel 12:11-12, after the Second Coming, there will be an extension of 75 days. The first 30 days is a period of mourning Yeshua by the Jewish people and repentance from their rejection of Him (1,260 + 30 = 1,290 days).

The Liberty Bible Commentary says: “The 1290 days mentioned here probably refer to the last three and one half years of the Tribulation period, plus an additional thirty days to be used in judging the qualifications of those who will enter the Millennium (Matt.25:31-46)”.

The next 45 days (1,290 + 45 =1,335 days) will be for final preparation for the Millennial Kingdom to be fully established -- “Blessed are those who wait and arrive at 1,335 days.”, (Daniel 12:12).

Again from the Liberty Bible Commentary we read: “The 1335 days perhaps signifies an additional 45 days before the actual beginning of the Millennium that may be required, as Wood, pp.228-29 suggests, for setting up the governmental machinery of the millennial period. All new governments require a transition period; and the saints who will rule and reign with Christ (Dan.7:27, Rev. 20:4) must be given their assignments and instructions as to how to operate during the new age.”

When we think of government changes that take place in our own lifetime, we can clearly see that happening – it will be a real government – the final one before the whole new beginning to come after the 1,000 years.

After this, we read in the book of Revelation chapters 20 to 22 about:

The Millennial Kingdom, Revelation 20
The Final Battle
The Great White Throne Judgment

The Millennial Kingdom, Revelation 20:

The Millennial Kingdom will last 1,000 years and when it ends, satan will be released from the abyss (Revelation 20:7). Toward the end of this time, he will come out again to deceive a great multitude of those who were born during this time, and they will make war with the saints. (Revelation 20:8-9).

The Final Battle:

This will be the final battle when fire comes down from Heaven and will consume all who attacked the camp of the saints (Revelation 20:9). The devil, the beast and the false prophet will then be cast into the lake of fire, where they will be tormented day and night, forever.

The Great White Throne Judgment:

After this final battle, Messiah will judge all the non-believers from throughout the history of the world to this time at the Great White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15). This Great White Throne Judgment is only for the non-believers who will then also be cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, which is eternal and where conscious torment of fire will be experienced.

After the Great White Throne Judgment, God will establish the final state of His eternal Kingdom, known as The New Jerusalem (Revelation 21-22).

Narrative #3

And we have run out of time... but I will pick up from here next week...

We don't hear many sermons on this subject of the end times in our churches today. But it is important because people want to know, they want some answers, although we don't know everything yet – and that's probably a good thing...

however so much is happening so quickly right now that we just need to know for the sake of keeping peace in our heart – Jesus used to say all the time, peace, be of good cheers, fear not... and that's what we say to all today...

but the Word of God also tells us that we must be ready for the return of Christ... and first the Rapture will take place, and that can happen anytime now... anytime at all... there need no further prophecies to take place... it's all up to God the Father... when He says, Ok, this is it... then the trumpet will sound and

“... the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

“Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

“Wherefore comfort one another with these words. (Thessalonians 4:16-18)

The message at this time is still that we are sinners in need of repentance... if we haven't made peace with our Saviour...

It must still be subject to telling the truth in our witness, within the context of each of our testimonies, and preaching.... and that's the key – knowing when and how to witness to each unsaved person we come in contact with... we must always approach that prayerfully, wisely and with the fear of the Lord... we've got to be in the Word in order to know what it says...

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Prov. 9:19) and of knowledge and understanding... in other scriptures...
(the fear of the Lord comes up 808 times in the Word of God within various context)

Wow, what a message from the Holy Spirit for us today.

Closing Narrative…

Alright, so with all that, I am out of time again... so next week, I'll pick up from here and continue on the historical events of the time just after Yeshuah had completed His mission of redemption for mankind by his death on the cross and the resurrection from the grave, then His ascension back to the glory He had prior at the right hand of God the Father...

Fantastic story of deliverance from the evil and sin of this world for all of us, one individual at a time...
