I heard a well-known and influential speaker, being interviewed on CNN a while back, say that he believes life does not begin at conception... therefore he approves of stem cell research.

As we have seen in the previous chapter, life does begin at conception. About the stem cell research mentioned in the title description of this chapter, we should note that there are ethical and unethical uses of stem cells.

From what I’ve read, on the ethical side, adult stem cells are already available, and already providing real cures. For example, bone marrow replacement are cells derived from the patient’s own body with his/her consent. Such stem cells can also be obtained from umbilical cord blood and from placentas.

But, in this case, we are talking about stem cells derived from destroying living human embryos that come from those donated by fertility clinics and discarded fetuses from abortion clinics. This type of embryonic stem cell research is completely unnecessary and unethical. It is also un-Biblical because it takes the life of humans...
