Are homosexuals born that way or is it a personal choice?

The question in the above heading is probably one of the biggest at this time on the gay issue concerning the church today. People are being led to believe that homosexuals are born that way, therefore nothing can be done to change that. It’s not so much “is it sin” anymore, because homosexuals have long passed the point of listening to that argument. They now want to say they are born that way.

This issue is clearly a hot potato that needs to be included in genuine conversations because people want to know what is the truth. Children are coming home from school telling their parents they’ve been told that gay people are born that way therefore there should be understanding. And parents don’t know what to say or do.

Since the Bruce Jenner bombshell that came out some years ago, as having changed his gender from being a man, a father, a husband, into a ‘female’, the whole world is talking about it and getting even more confused. However many who followed suit have been reported to have had second thoughts about their decisions with dire regrets.

Homosexuality is not new, it’s been around for a long time. But society is being bombarded now like never before and it is affecting all walks of life, including younger and younger children. We should be able to respectfully discuss such issues despite the differences of opinions.

Most of the population feels it is a choice. The concern is the teaching and propagating push of homosexuality on others, especially the children who are vulnerable to mental and psychological manipulation – thus it needs to be discussed.
