Timing Revelation & More, Issue #002 -- Values to Regain Part 2 January 09, 2023 |
Number 2, Volume 1, January 2023 Values to Regain Part 2Greetings,I talked (or wrote rather) about the values lost of previous decades in the last newsletter. Here's a summary of them: In the 50's, we lost innocence, In the 60's, we lost authority, in the 70's – love (and replaced it with sex), the 80's – we got greed and lost our values, the 90's – we lost faith in the future. In the 2000's – people lost security, and now, we lost hope. And I added to these, from my own observation: Honesty, loyalty, confidentiality, accountability, which are particularly specific to business and politics – but, alas, not seen there any more. And as I mentioned also in that newsletter, we need to regain those values, otherwise we will lose our grip on society—as we have done much of already. Like the people in the book of JudgesWe forget that we need to do the laws and the regulations and the commandments….. we are like the people in the book of Judges... “...every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” (Judges 21:25).And hope is the last value lost in the list rendered above. And hope is really what we need to pick ourselves up by the bootstrap and start at the beginning again. Hebrews 11:1 says: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." The word 'substance' in the Greek is 'hypostasis', (pronounced 'hoop-os-tas-is') which means the assurance, the foundation. When we lose hope, we lose the assurance or the foundation of hopeful things that could be. And without that, we can't even have faith. And faith is everything. The Word of God says: "The just shall live by faith" (Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11, Hebrews 10:38). The "just" means, the lawful (one who observes the divine law), the righteous. Romans 5:1-5 says: “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” Hope is critical to where we are today. There are 133 scriptures that mention hope, 75 in the O.T. And 58 in the new... but I want to quote two right here from the new Testament:1 Peter 3:15, “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:" And again, Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." When we have lost hope, when we have no hope, that’s when we are most vulnerable to attacks and deceptions from the devil – our real enemy – yes this devil is real. I know some people scoff at that… but they are the skeptics. When hope is lost, that’s when the enemy comes and says, what’s the point of living. I mentioned the epidemic of depression previously. We also have an epidemic of suicide and that usually follows depression… no hope. (Please note that all scriptures as quoted from the King James Version unless otherwise stated) The enemy has come to steal, kill and destroyJohn 10:10, ““The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”Think about these three words: steal, kill and destroy… that’s the era we live in today. That’s the era our children and grand-children are experiencing. But in that same verse, Jesus gives that good news again: “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”. Wow! And in the verse just before this, verse 9, Jesus, says: “ I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” And in verse 11, He says: “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. And then, He continues to verse 18: “But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.” When you have no hope you have no shepherd to watch over you.“The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.“I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. “As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. “And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. “Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. “No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.” You see, Jesus laid down His life for you, and for me – that’s how important you and I are to God. He care for each and every one of us. Shelter your life at God's door...There's an old gospel song that says:Where will I shelter my sheep tonight Where is that peaceful land Where will I shelter my sheep tonight Where the thieves won't steal all my lambs We travelled far, shepherd dog and I Weary, sin-sick and sore Where will I shelter my sheep tonight I'll shelter my sheep at god's door My soul is weak and thirsty too As I cross this burnin' sand Where will I shelter my sheep tonight Where is that peaceful land (You can listen to it at this link: https://youtu.be/8cd0w8gNMYE ) (just copy and paste into your browser)
Will you shelter your life at God’s door right now, today, the shepherd is right there ready to receive you and to shepherd you... “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” (Revelation 3:20) Goodness and mercy...“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.” You can hear this one at: https://youtu.be/0Y3qIIrTgdc (just copy and paste into your browser) Till next time,Best and Blessings,/DMH P.S.: Check out the Timing Revelation E-book at: https://www.timingrevelation.com/Timing_Revelation_E-book.html Let's hear from you...If you have any comments, ideas, feedback, I would appreciate hearing from you.
