Timing Revelation & More, Issue #007 -- August Blessings
August 02, 2023

Number 7, Volume 1, August 2023

Roll out the lazy, hazy days of summer...

Greetings,

I hope you are enjoying the summer. Of course it's going too fast, already we are seeing traces of September coming up next.

How many of you remember the song of that title above? Haven't heard it for decades but it brings great memories of a time that was so much more peaceful and enchanting.

But we live in the end times of the book of Revelation. Unfortunately not many churches talk about it in their messages. We need to remember that we are on a journey toward a better future--a future in a new Kingdom, totally different from this one where there is no more pain, no more sickness, no more tears, no more curse...

Here's a wonderful song to bless you today,

Did you know?

Who's engaged in the Bible?

A recent issue of the Canadian evangelical magazine, Faith Today, reports that 93% of Canadian Evangelicals have a physical Bible in their home versus 72% for mainline protestants and 52% for Catholics.

This is from a Cardus study of over 4,000 Canadians about their engagement with the holy texts.

The study also showed that 63% of Christians who have a Bible hardly ever read it or never, but of the Evangelicals 60% say they read it at least once a month.

This is very interesting because just recently I asked a relative if he reads the book of Revelation in the Bible. His answer was a casual affirmation that he does not, hearing of it only from what he gets from preachers. And of course I happen to know in his case that the same pretty well goes for the other books of the Bible.

It's hard to understand this attitude because it is so important that we read the Word of God for ourselves. It's really a conversation with the Word who became flesh (John chapter 1).

The other question that was reported in that same periodical was, how well do Christians know the Word of God. The study showed 19% of Catholics correctly identified the first book of the New Testament, and 75% of Evangelicals answered correctly.

What's new at Timing Revelation:

Well, I have to say, this last month was so busy for me that I totally missed to write the June newsletter. And this one today is late by a week! I know that is not a good thing to do, but hopefully things will improve over the next months. I might even consider a bi-monthly issue -- and see what happens. I will keep you posted.

The radio shows are doing well and it is nice to run into people around town who tell me they are listening in. If you live out of my town, do let me know if you are listening by using the Contact Form on my web site TimingRevelation.com.

I am working on offering a special time limited deal for the E-book in the next month. So be watching for that.

Don't forget to sign up for my RSS blog and Newsletter...

Best and Blessings,
